Anil Potti is a United States based clinician who specializes in taking care of patients suffering from lung cancer. He graduated from Christian Medical College & Hospital, Vellore (India), with M.B.B.S. degree in 1995. Prior to that, he completed his undergraduate studies in Biology, Physics & Chemistry (Majors) from LFJ College, Secunderabad, India. Anil Potti has extensive experience working with eminent medical institutes, including the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences as Assistant Professor. He is also the recipient of Leonard P. Tow Humanism in Medicine Award (2003).

Sponsored by the Gold Foundation, the annual Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine award is given to a graduating student and faculty member at 94 of the country’s medical schools. In order to be eligible for this award, a student or faculty member must demonstrate the Foundation’s ideals of outstanding compassion in the delivery of care, respect for patients as well as their families, and health-care colleagues. He/she should be cooperative, willing to help others and also willing to seek help from others when required. The graduating medical student should have effective communication and listening skills, along with an ability to understand the patients’ need for interpretation of complicated medical diagnosis and treatment.

Moreover, he is also the past member of American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society (AOA) and American Association of Cancer Research (AACR).

Highly regarded for his commitment to providing compassionate care to patients, Anil Potti is Board Certified in Medical Oncology. He is an outdoor person who involves himself in a variety of outdoor activities. He volunteers for various causes and donates money to the local school and the local church system. In his free time, he likes to watch movies.
